Description

A set of prognostics markers for PCa has been identified using novel bioinformatics algorithms which analyze gene expression profiling data of PCa. These genes were selected because they were up-regulated in a sub-set of PCa cases with high Gleason grades. We have validated these markers using archived PCa tissues from a group of patients with known outcome. Expression of these genes, as determined by qRT-PCR on formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissue correlates with aggressiveness of primary PCa tumors.
