Description

Vortexing sonication bath fluid prior to sonication significantly enhances the removal of bacterial biofilms from surfaces. A method of collecting the removed biofilms and the instrumentation and instrument parameters for assaying bacteria in biofilms on the surface of devices are described. Trampuz, et.al N. Engl. J.
