Description

This device is used to treat a painful thumb base joint (1st CMC joint) from arthritis. It is composed of three parts: 1) a screw that threads across the wrist bones; 2) a screw that threads into the thumb metacarpal; and, 3) a plastic liner for the ball-and-socket joint formed by the two screws.
