Description

A metal onlay implant surgically placed in the temporomandibular joint fossa/eminence (temporal bone) anatomy. The implant is a relatively flat nonanatomic design which is surgically fit following osseous recontouring of TMJ fossa-eminence anatomy. It is stabilized with endosseous screws. The implant covers a broad osseous surface to help prevent re ossification between condyle and fossa in patients treated for osteoarthritis or fibrous/osseous ankylosis.
