An IEX-1 Null Mutant Mouse

Description

A mouse lacking both copies of the IEX-1 gene was generated. These mice have a mean arterial blood pressure that is approximately 30mm of Hg higher than that seen in wild type mice. These mice are useful for assessing compounds for the ability to reduce high blood pressure.
