Description
Mice in which the endogenous leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 gene (LRRK2) has been ablated. Exon 41 has been flanked with loxP sites to alow Cre-mediated deletion. The region deleted contains the serion/threonine protein kinase catalytic domain. Splicing of exon 40 to 42 causes a frameshift mutation with the introduction of an early stop codon (TGA).
