Description

A method of treating an immunopathologic disorder, which is mediated by CD8+ phenotype T cells. Such diseases include multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, systemic lupus erythematous, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s disease, polymyositis, vasculitis, ulcerative colitis and myastenia gravis. [Absence of Neurological Defects Following Extreme Demyelination in a Class I Dependent Murine Model of Multiple Sclerosis, Rivera-Quinones, et. al., Nature Medicine 4(2):187-193, 1998].
