Description

Serotype selective and nonpeptidic inhibitors of botulinum neurotoxin serotype A (BoNTA) have been developed. These inhibitors are effective in detoxifying botulinum neurotoxin serotype A; they can be used as therapeutics for treating food poisoning by BoNTA, overdose of BoNTA-based cosmetics such as Botox, and they can also be used as countermeausres to BoNTA-based biological weapons.
