Description

After a heart attack, the heart tries to repair itself and undergoes changes in its shape, structure and function. The Natriuretic peptides are a family of hormones which is produced by the body to enhance the function of the heart and kidneys. We have completed a study showing that the administration of low dose BNP after heart attack improves the structure and function of the heart.
