Description
Novel peptides have been designed to noncovalently bind proteins or nucleic acids and transport them into nucleus, through both the cellular and nuclear membranes. Transported proteins include IgG, beta-galactosidase, and GFP. Transported nucleic acids include single stranded oligonucleotides and plasmid DNA. These peptides and methodologies suggest an ability to treat diseases with protein or nucleic acid modulation.
